Design Philosophy

We believe our continued success and growth will come from building control systems that allow our customers to easily understand and maintain the systems themselves. Time and again, our customers tell us that our solutions are by far the best functioning, most complete, and most intuitive solutions to use. By providing these sorts of manageable solutions, GLC Controls aims to empower our customers to use and maintain the solutions on their own.
At GLC Controls, however, we also believe in supporting our customers for the lifetime of the systems we design and build, and we will provide the primary services and support when and where our customers need it.
We design each electrical control system with ease of maintenance, future expansion, flexibility, and specific customer requirements in mind. All of our control systems start with a fully documented set of CAD electrical drawings. A good, documented set of electrical drawings is essential in a critical application. To avoid wasting time searching down wires, tracing, and guessing, all of our systems come with full documentation and all wires and devices are labelled according to the drawings, greatly simplifying the troubleshooting process.
Each control system we design fully meets or exceeds all applicable standards and codes. We typically use the Canadian Standards Association, Canadian Electrical Code, and National Electrical Code, as well as customer/site specific codes and standards.
With each system we design, we request a customer specification list to ensure that our work not only complies with required standards and codes, but also fully meets and exceeds your expectations.
