Motion Training
Along with our award winning PLC training courses, GLC Controls also offers courses on popular motion technology including the Delta RMC and the Allen Bradley QB modules.
Allen Bradley QB Module Training
PLC5 1771 – QB Module Linear Positioning System Training & Troubleshooting
GLC Controls is offering a comprehensive two day course designed to improve your troubleshooting skills and explain how the 1771-QB Module works in simple terms. We have built a brand-new training facility complete with a PLC5 controlled QB Module and hydraulic positioning system that duplicates systems used in your mill.
Some of the benefits you will find when you train with us are:
- Real World Experience
- We don't just talk about the QB, we have installed and maintained many QB's. We know what can happen in your mill.
- Flexible Course Dates
- We will work with you to provide classes when your schedule permits.
- Customizable Courses
- We will customize any course to focus on the areas you need.
- Small Class Size
- We know what it's like to be in a room of 20 people with a question to ask. Our classes are made up of 2 – 3 students to give each person the attention and exposure they desire.
- Course Content
- We designed the course to teach you how the QB reacts to changes and what to look for when it's not operating properly.
- Course Length
- We designed the course for two days to minimize the amount of time that you are away from your mill (we can add a third day if you want more time to explore the QB advanced functionality).
- Local Training & Support
- We are a Northern company dedicated to providing you with the fast and efficient response and in-depth training you need to keep your mill running at peak efficiency.
Our course will highlight these areas of the QB Module:

- Printed course notes using simple explanations
- AB QB Module user manual
- Catered lunches provided both days
Delta RMC and RMC Win Training
GLC Controls in partnership with PQ Systems and Delta Computer Systems is pleased to offer RMC and RMC Win training to our industrial customers.

High-Performance Industrial Motion Controller
The RMC100 motion controller supports two to eight axes of MDT, SSI, Quadrature, and 12- and 16-bit Analog in any combination. The RMC100 also offers communications options ranging from fieldbuses such as Ethernet, 12Mbaud PROFIBUS DP, and Modbus Plus to discrete I/O (plus the optional four line keypad/display). These options, plus powerful control modes - including synchronized moves, position/pressure control, gearing, splines, and teach modes – provide optimum control for a wide variety of motion control applications.
Features
- Two to eight axes of position or speed control with synchronization
- Supports motion and pressure profile changes on-the-fly
- Full PID loop control with velocity and acceleration feed forwards
- Trapezoidal, S-curve, and spline profiling
- RS-232 diagnostic port for tuning and graphic display of motion
- Isolated power input, drive outputs, discrete and analog I/O, and communications
- FLASH memory allows program upgrades and parameter storage
