Inductive proximity sensors
Inductive proximity sensors detect metal targets in position sensing applications. The sensors offer non-contact sensing and incorporate extended range technology that reduces failure from mechanical damage.
- Designed for industrial automation, metalworking, welding, washdown, hazardous areas and vehicle automation applications.
- Various housings with sensing ranges from 0.8 to 50 mm.
Magnetic sensors
Magnetic sensors provide high sensitivity to magnetic targets and are ideal for use in position and speed applications. The sensors can detect magnets through walls made of non-ferrous metal, stainless steel, aluminum, plastic or wood. Sensing ranges reach up to 70 mm.
Capacitive sensors
Capacitive proximity sensors sense the position of non-metallic targets such as glass, plastic, paper and wood. Use non-contact sensing to insure durability in harsh environments and incorporate ifm's patented noise immune circuit design.
- Designed for industrial automation and hazardous areas.
- Various housings with sensing ranges from 4 to 60 mm.
Actuator sensors
- Magnetic cylinder sensors incorporate GMR technology and fit C-slot and T-slot cylinders to provide low profile mounting.
- Inductive sensors for valves detect the open and closed position of rising stem valves and quarter-turn valves.
- Designed for industrial automation and hazardous areas.
Photoelectric
Infrared and red light sensors provide non-contact sensing for industrial automation and washdown applications. Unlike inductive proximity switches, the target material is not important and the sensing range is much longer. Product families include thru-beam sensors, retroreflective sensors, diffuse reflective sensors and diffuse reflective with background suppression.
Laser sensors
Laser sensors are used where the detection of small objects or precise positioning is required. The sensor's light beam can detect very small objects at long ranges. ifm efector offers fine adjustment mounting brackets that allow the laser sensors to be
